Short 3D Video of the Somerton Man’s Face.
Version 2.
The controls beneath the video to the right enable you to take the image full screen,In this second version shown above, he appears more lifelike by giving him a smile, however there is further work to do on the teeth in particular. The Somerton man had many missing teeth and the only visible teeth when he was smiling were the two central incisors.
Version 1.
This is the first version created using an AI package. As you can see it shows a short, 4 second clip of the Somerton Man’s face using just the one, full face photograph to create it.
The next version will be made using the two post autopsy photographs, the full face and profile images. The goal is to get an improved view of his appearance and from there it should be possible to create a fully animated version showing him at his full height, 5 feet 11 inches, and dressed in clothes matching the description of those he was wearing when found.
His face at the moment is a little bloated which needs to be addressed, once again we can use an AI package to enhance his features to more closely match how he may have looked in life.
I will be working on the next version over the next few days and will post an update when it’s completed.
The purpose of this exercise is to provide a photo realistic image of the man that can then be more accurately compared to other images. Just another piece in the puzzle.
