SOMERTON MAN: THE HAY INTERNMENT CAMP BANKNOTES AMAZING IMAGES

A SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT FIND

for making available the high-resolution images for these notes. 

What you will see is an extraordinarily fine almost whispy microcode, it has been handwritten into each letter of each signature on each note, and there were 6000 of them. It was an incredible privilege to see this writing that has never been viewed for at least 70 years. There are exceptions, of course, the men that did this work would have known all about it and I think that it's amazing. :)

This is exactly the technique used by Jestyn and Alf Boxall in the handwritten Verse 70 of the ROK that Jestyn handed to Alf in August 1945. Where did they learn this technique? This same approach is used on the code page, who wrote that? Whoever it was, knew the method used by the Camp 7 Internees, the Dunera Boys.

There's a lot more that could be said but I think we'll let these images do the talking. They are close up images of all three values of the Hay Internment Camp banknotes. The details are so extreme;y fine that they almost defy description, there will be an update to this post and follow posts will be incorporated into the ongoing Tibor Kaldor series.:




If you look carefully at the image above, you will notice that even the serial  number and the preceding letter C, also contains microcode.
